How much money does Tommy Lee have?
Tommy Lee, a drummer and musician from the United States, is worth $70 million. In the music world, Tommy Lee is best known as the drummer for the rock band Mötley Crüe and has released 20 studio, compilation, and live albums with Mötley Crüe, six certified platinum. Methods of Mayhem, a rap-metal band he founded, has also had a successful solo career.
Infancy and Childhood:
Thomas Lee Bass, better known as Tommy Lee, was born on October 3, 1962, in Athens, Greece. His father served his life in the United States Army as a sergeant first class. In 1960, his mother crowned Miss Greece, his younger sister’s name. When Lee was a year old, his family relocated to California. At the tender age of four, Lee was given his first set of drumsticks by his father.
It wasn’t until when he was in his twenties that he was introduced to heavy metal and hard rock by bands like Kiss, Led Zeppelin, and Deep Purple. Before leaving for college, Lee played in a marching band in high school before pursuing his lifelong ambition of being in a rock band. When Lee formed his first band, Studio 19, in the early 1980s, they performed on the Sunset Strip. At a Studio 19 show, Lee met Nikki Sixx, who would later join Mötley Crüe as a band member. Van Halen and Quiet Riot were also performing on the Sunset Strip at the time, but they were less well-known.

Mötley Crüe:
When Tommy Lee and Nikki Six met, Sixx was interested in starting a heavy metal band known for its elaborate stage shows and catchy anthems. Sixx knew he’d found his drummer when he saw Lee perform with Studio 19. Eventually, Sixx persuaded Lee to leave Studio 19 and form the nucleus of Mötley Crüe. Mick Mars, the band’s first guitarist, joined soon after. Lee referred Vince Neil, a former classmate, to complete the new band’s lineup. Originally, Mötley Crüe released their first album, Too Fast For Love, on their independent label. Elektra Records signed Mötley Crüe soon after, and the band reissued Too Fast For Love the following year. (1989).
As a drummer, Lee was known for using a variety of special effects and stunts, such as floating his drum kit above the audience while playing his drum solos. The Dirt, a 2019 Netflix film about the band, depicts Tommy Lee and Mötley Crüe as notorious for their wild partying both on and offstage, as well as their use of drugs and alcohol.
In addition, there are other projects:
Lee founded Methods of Mayhem, a supergroup-style rap-metal band, in 1999. Methods of Mayhem was released in the same year, and the band embarked on a tour to promote it. Lee’s debut solo album, Never a Dull Moment, was released in 2002. During the same year, Lee’s solo project joined the lineup of the Ozzfest metal festival in his native Ohio.
Mötley Crüe’s original lineup reunited in 2004 to release Red, White & Crüe, a double-CD anthology. Upon the release of the band’s fourth studio album, which went quadruple platinum, the band immediately embarked on a massive world tour to promote it. For the first time in six years, the Red, White & Crüe Tour 2005: Better Live Than Dead featured 81 performances.
Tommy Lee College Life:
Tommy Lee Goes to College, where Lee attended the University of Nebraska and played drums in the marching band, aired in 2005 on Lee’s reality show. Tommyland, Lee’s autobiography, came out in 2005, as did Tommyland: The Ride, his second solo album.
Concerts by Mötley Crüe with Poison, Def Lepard, and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts were dismissed for 2020 because of the coronavirus outbreak.
Life at Home:
Elaine Starchuk was Lee’s first wife; they wed in 1984. In 1985, they divorced.
Lee married actress Heather Locklear on May 10, 1986, in Los Angeles, California, and in 1993, the couple separated amicably. Following her marriage to Richie Sambora, Ava Locklear was born to Locklear and Sambora (born in 1997).
Lee had a brief relationship with model Bobbie Brown following his divorce from Locklear:
Lee married Pamela Anderson on February 19 1995. Precisely four days prior, they had first met. Brandon and Dylan are the names of their two sons. In 1998, the couple decided to call it quits.
When Lee pleaded guilty to kicking Pamela Anderson while holding their son Dylan in 1998, he was punished to six months in county jail. Lee allegedly assaulted his wife after Anderson reportedly refused to call her parents and ask them not to come to the family’s house. Lee and Anderson reunited briefly in 2001 after Lee was released from prison. In 2008, Lee and Anderson reunited and even moved in together with their sons, but they broke up soon after…
When Prince’s ex-wife Mayte Garcia divorced him in 2003, Lee engaged her.

Investing in property:
Tommy paid $837,886 for a Malibu hillside home on February 14, 1995. He and Pamela Anderson would soon be living in this house. Only a few days after he bought this house, they got married on a Mexican beach. As soon as Pamela and Tommy returned from Mexico, they settled into their new home and began a major remodelling project. They kept a large safe in their garage. The white bikini she wore at their wedding, a few guns, some jewellery, and their infamous home video sex tape were all kept in that safe.
Disgruntled electrician Rand Gauthier plotted an elaborate heist to steal Tommy’s safe from the garage in 1995 in revenge for an unpaid $20-30,000 bill. Rand was the first to bring the idea of a mass-market to the masses.
Malibu home in 2000:
MTV’s “Cribs” famously visited this Malibu home in 2000, and it’s now for sale. For $2.5 million, Tommy sold the house. Lee put his Calabasas, California home on the market in late May for $4.65 million. Six bedroom and eight bathrooms are included in the 10,000-square-foot house, which also features an entryway with indoor waterfalls and a retractable glass roof. Koi pond, stone salt water spa, and saltwater piano-shaped pool are also included in the property. Additional features include an entertaining outdoor area with a barbecue, fireplaces, torch lighting, and a home theatre and wine room. Lee repurposed the garage’s 13-car capacity into a studio for recording. He had put the house on the market for $6 million a year earlier.
